Eunhajang(은하장): Legendary Jjajangmyeon & Tangsuyuk Featured on TV!
① Restaurant Name
Eunhajang (은하장)
② Address
17-50 Munsan-ri, Munsan-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기 파주시 문산읍 문향로 78 뮤직갤러리)
③ Why It’s Worth the Hype
Eunhajang(은하장) in Munsan, Paju, boasts a strong reputation as a local gem, having been featured on not one, but two popular Korean food shows: “Wednesday Food Talk” (수요미식회) and “Baek Jong-won’s Top 3 Chef Kings” (백종원의 삼대천왕). This dual recognition naturally piqued my curiosity, Fortunately, it was Sunday afternoon, so I was able to enter right away because there were not many people. The promise of complimentary fried dumplings with their Sweet and Sour Pork (Tangsuyuk:탕수육) was another enticing factor. Despite its somewhat unassuming name, reminiscent of an old inn, Eunhajang(은하장) clearly holds a special place in the hearts of many.
④ Ambience & Vibe
Finding Eunhajang(은하장) requires a bit of attention, as it’s subtly located near a bus stop. A small yellow signboard marks its presence. Upon entering, you’ll need to head up the stairs to the right. Local eatery atmosphere.
⑤ Beer & Food Highlights
Beer is not served on weekends
We ordered the Tangsuyuk (찹쌀탕수육 – Sweet and Sour Pork with Glutinous Rice) and a regular Jjajangmyeon (짜장면 – Noodles with Black Bean Sauce). I had initially wanted to try their famous Yuni Jjajang (유니짜장 – Minced Pork Black Bean Noodles), but opted for the regular version since I wasn’t sure if it would be too spicy. (A return visit for the Yuni Jjajang is definitely planned!)
The complimentary Fried Dumplings (군만두) served with the Tangsuyuk were a delightful surprise. Despite their seemingly casual presentation and slightly overcooked appearance, they were incredibly delicious
The Jjajangmyeon, however, was fairly standard – the kind you’d find at most Korean-Chinese restaurants. It wasn’t particularly outstanding, reinforcing my regret at not ordering the Yuni Jjajang.
The Tangsuyuk, on the other hand, was the star of the show and the main reason I’d eagerly return. This glutinous rice-based sweet and sour pork was exceptionally tender and had a unique, addictive quality. As someone who usually prefers dipping the sauce, I found it equally enjoyable even with the sauce poured over (부먹), maintaining its soft and chewy texture throughout the meal. The unique thing was that the sweet and sour pork I loved had vinegar in it! It was sweet and sour.
The only disappointment was that they don’t serve alcohol on weekends and public holidays, meaning I had to enjoy the fantastic Tangsuyuk without a refreshing beer.
⑥ How to Get There
It’s a 10-minute walk from Munsan Station. It’s right in front of Munsan Terminal.

⑨ Final Thoughts
While the regular Jjajangmyeon was unremarkable, Eunhajang(은하장) is definitely worth a visit for its exceptional Tangsuyuk and the surprisingly delicious complimentary fried dumplings. The tender, chewy texture and the perfectly balanced sweet and sour sauce of the Tangsuyuk are truly memorable. I’m already planning a weekday trip to finally try their famous Yuni Jjajang and the Jjambbong(짬뽕) (spicy seafood noodles, which apparently earned them their spot on “Baek Jong-won’s Top 3 Chef Kings”), and of course, i’ll enjoy it all with a cold beer!
